The 0.55mm wear layer on the tiles prevents dents, scuffs, and other indications of normal wear and tear away from the wood effect design.  

These tiles never need to be refinished, unlike hardwood floors, and are quite easy to maintain.  

Additionally, you can put them in humid regions like busy kitchens where solid wood is inappropriate.
